Sayantan has over four years of experience in capital resources, due diligence engagements and business planning. He has a good understanding of key processes involved in capital resources assignments and comes with experience in conducting business due-diligence (BDD). He shares a close relationship with Global and Indian Private Equity groups and has been working closely with them in identifying and showcasing investment opportunities to them.

Prior to CFA, he was Associate Director at IndiaCo Ventures Limited, an investment firm listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange that provides growth capital, strategic direction and hands-on operational expertise to fast growing companies. In this role he assisted the core investment team in deal origination and analysis across emerging technology areas through patent landscapes and valuations (IP valuation). Sayantan was also heading the Technology Licensing practice under IndiaNano (Nanotechnology Research and Innovation Foundation) which is a non-profit enterprise created and supported by IndiaCo to nurture the commercialization of Nanotechnology in India and facilitate cross-border technology transfers. In this role, he was responsible for building strategic partnerships with R&D labs, Universities globally and managed key client accounts and projects.

Sayantan also comes with experience in working in a technology start-up focused on Nano-coatings for ceramic surfaces, automobile windshields, construction glass, stone and anticorrosive coatings for light metals. He was responsible for Business Development and evaluating technical feasibility for applications. In this role Sayantan also assisted the Senior Management in the feasibility studies of the company’s green field project of manufacturing cathode materials for lithium ion batteries in India.

• Assisted a IT Product Company in securing first round of equity
• Assisted a Design Engineering Company in raising growth capital

Sayantan has a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pune, India.
